Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a university-trained profession. Physiotherapy treatments are varied and may include, manual therapy, IMS (dry needling), shockwave, ultrasound, RTUS (real time ultrasound for visualization of core muscle activation) and exercise prescription. Sandra also utilizes riding simulators to assist equestrian clients with body awareness and postural control.

Certified IMS practitioner since 2006. Orthopaedic division instructor and examiner. Extensive knowledge regarding competitive horse-back riding and strong interest in evaluating and assisting riders with improving their performance. Certified Hanna Somatics coach and blends the Somatics movements into exercise programs. Uses real-time ultrasound machine for investigating deep muscle activation patterns.
